my name is Ana Luiza, but most people who matter call me sol. i grew up in Belém, the city where the Amazon meets the city grid, and somehow i became the person who tries to make sense of the forest through data.

i'm deeply into bioinformatics, but what really makes my brain light up is the moment a messy spreadsheet becomes a chart that tells a story no one had noticed before. that's the magic i'm chasing.

off-screen: reading tarot cards, hunting a new perfume that smells like somewhere i've never been, drinking iced coffee at questionable hours, and letting Loki run the place. because he does.

my current main quest is the Munguba Project, where i use geospatial data and visualization to map and protect Amazonian biodiversity. the goal: make the data speak loudly enough for the forest to be heard.

i believe a well-made chart can do what a hundred-page report often can't. currently going deeper into GIS and interactive data viz, and studying for POSCOMP.
